The influence of deviant peer association on dual systems model development: the protective role of resistance to peer influence

Little research has examined the relevance of peer influences for impacting development dual systems model constructs and protective factors in these relationships among adolescents (Ages: 14-26; ∼86% male). This study deviant association predicting sensation-seeking impulse control moderating role resistance to influence. The Pathways Desistance data were analyzed. Mixed effects models direct effect on determine whether influence moderated relationships. Findings indicated that greater was associated with increased lower control. Resistance buffered control, as by a significant negative coefficient. Additional analyses this moderation only relevant at levels association. Moderation not observed sensation-seeking.

Impulsive Lifestyle Counselling versus treatment as usual to reduce offending in people with co-occurring antisocial personality disorder and substance use disorder: a post hoc analysis

Abstract Objectives To assess the impact of a short psychoeducation intervention for antisocial personality disorder on offending after randomization to treatment. Design Multicentre, superiority, non-blinded randomized controlled trial. Random assignment was conducted in blocks varying sizes at central centre. Participants were followed using national register data until 365 days randomization, migration, or death, whichever occurred first. Setting Thirteen outpatient uptake areas Denmark.
