Background: During the crisis of communicable diseases, nurses play an important role in controlling disease and treating patients; therefore, obstacles challenges facing these medical personnel should be reduced. Objectives: The main goal present study was to evaluate faced by during Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Methods: This qualitative conducted using content analysis approach 2021-22 city ABC. participants this were 30 people who selected from 10 different hospitals included nursing managers (n=10), supervisors (n=10). Sampling done purposefully continued until information saturation point. Semi-structured in-depth interview used individually based on guideline collect data. Results: results showed that COVID-19 pandemic 452 codes 12 subcategories, which after final classification data, 4 challenge categories obtained, human (33 subcategories), financial (15 communication (8 organizational (27 subcategories). Conclusion: Based study, it can concluded human, financial, communication, obstacles. Recognizing help formulate road maps strategies for improving disaster preparedness management hospitals.

Abstract Background: The COVID-19 pandemic, with its rapid spread and subsequent lockdown measures, has brought about unprecedented changes in our lives. Terms like lockdown, social distancing, quarantine have become part of daily vocabulary. Amid this crisis, frontline workers, including nurses, emerged as the unsung heroes, bravely battling effects pandemic. This study delves into perceptual encounters nurses regarding patient care during critical period, providing valuable insights their experiences. Materials Methods: employed a unique mixed-methods sequential explanatory design. Quantitative data was gathered from 202 registered attending to patients designated hospitals Navi Mumbai. Following quantitative analysis, samples qualitative were collected until saturation, focusing on experiences categorized fair or adverse. collection relied self-reporting, while involved in-depth telephone interviews audio recording techniques. study’s scope confined Mumbai specifically targeted staff for patients. Results: 39% respondents reported experiencing situations, 69% expressed encountering negative related COVID-19. identified various themes, encountered challenges, physical hardships, emotional conflicts, provided facilities, most importantly, robust support systems. Challenges included caring immobile patients, insufficient staffing, extended work hours. Mental concerns comprised fear contracting virus, stress, familial tensions, separation anxiety, disrupted communication loved ones. facilities encompassed meals, transportation, lodging, personal protective equipment, amenities such air conditioning hot water. Support observed colleagues, friends, family, senior members, highlighting strength healthcare community times crisis. Social resistance pressure resign, lack support, societal stigma. Coping mechanisms communicating ones, receiving engaging activities listening music, meditation, prayer, exercise, yoga. found no significant association between nurses’ selected demographic variables. Conclusion: examined perspectives duties capturing through analyses that addressed notable physical, mental, obstacles.

Objective Despite a growing literature on mental health among clinical staff during COVID-19, factors shaping distress for nonclinical are understudied and may be driven by inequalities at work. We aimed to discuss the role of workplace in psychological diverse group clinical, nonclinical, other hospital workers (HHWs). Methods This convergent parallel mixed-methods study with HHWs US system included an online survey ( n = 1127) interviews 73) collected from August 2020 January 2021. thematically analyzed interviews; findings informed log binomial regression estimating risk severe (Patient Health Questionnaire - 4 item version [PHQ-4] scores 9 or greater). Results Qualitatively, day-to-day stressors fostered fear anxiety, concerns about work environments manifest as betrayal frustration leadership. Distress was associated burnout, financial concerns, feeling betrayed unsupported institution Staff service versus roles had higher (adjusted prevalence ratio 2.04, 95% confidence interval 1.13–2.66); receiving support lower 0.52, 0.29–0.92. Conclusions Our underscores how pandemic brought surface increase vulnerable HHWs. Workplace activities can now future crises.

RESUMO Objetivo: Compreender como ocorreu a gestão do cuidado de enfermagem no contexto da pandemia COVID-19. Método: Estudo qualitativo, realizado em hospital universitário São Paulo, Brasil. A amostra constituiu-se oito enfermeiras que atuaram pacientes positivados para coleta dados foi realizada por meio entrevista semiestruturada sobre experiências na enfrentamento pandemia. Na análise dos dados, utilizaram-se temática e interpretação partir psicodinâmica trabalho. Resultados: Os resultados permitiram construção três categorias temáticas: O invisível limita: biossegurança, sofrimento, incerteza medo pandemia, proteger-se garantir proteção outro; Instrumentos processo trabalho gerencial: treinamento equipe, dimensionamento pessoal, materiais, prática criativa diante insuficiência; as competências implicadas com o coletivo, equipe liderança. Conclusão: COVID-19 permeada condições objetivas subjetivas, situações prazer, medo, insegurança adaptação criativa. As liderança, quando presentes, podem amenizar sofrimento vigente enfermagem.

ABSTRACT Objective: To understand how nursing care management occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: A qualitative study conducted at a university hospital in São Paulo, Brazil. The sample consisted of eight nurses who worked caring for patients tested positive COVID-19. Data collection was carried out through semi structured interviews about experiences managing coping with Thematic analysis and interpretation based on psychodynamics work were used data analysis. Results: results allowed constructing three thematic categories: invisible that limits: biosafety, distress, uncertainty fear pandemic, protecting oneself ensuring protection others; Management process instruments: team training, staff sizing, materials management, creative practice face insufficiency; competencies involved team, teamwork leadership. Conclusion: Care permeated by objective subjective conditions, situations pleasure, fear, insecurity adaptation. Teamwork leadership competencies, when present, can alleviate distress occurs work.
