Purpose This paper explores the drivers and inhibitors of transition entrepreneurial family firms from small to large firms. We adopt two contrasting theoretical perspectives, i.e. agency stewardship, explore effects power on size transition. Design/methodology/approach adopted an original research design that leverages a unique longitudinal database built starting list 500 best Italian manufacturing published by AUB Monitor in 2018. Specifically, we tested our hypotheses using comprehensive set financial governance data 89 covering 10-year period. To test hypotheses, conducted survival analysis Cox regression. Findings find inverted U-shaped relationship between involvement ownership transition: is more likely happen at intermediate levels ownership. Additionally, shows board directors negatively impacts transition, while presence CEO has positive influence. Purpose This study adopts a person-centered perspective to explore how entrepreneurs combine multiple proactive behavioral strategies across the business, personal and business-environment domains. We research whether certain combinations of (i.e. seeking resources, optimizing demands, challenges, idea generation, environmental exploration, network crafting, self-insight boundary management) relate well-being business performance. Moreover, we investigate entrepreneurs’ daily use these aligns with their general profiles. Design/methodology/approach A sample 286 Dutch participated in survey study. 49 also six-day diary ( N = 255). This study examines sole, micro-, and small-business entrepreneurs organizing their work in the business operations of taxi services under publicly restricted operating conditions during first wave COVID-19.
