Environmental and social consequences of FW are significant, contributing to 6% European Unions' greenhouse gasemissions affecting food security. occurs is complex issue occurring at various stages the supply chain (FSC) influenced by multiple factors such as infrastructure, available knowledge socio-economic conditions. Developed countries more prevalent consumption stage, whereas in developing losses occur agricultural production, post-harvest distribution stage. In the recent decade, fashion industry has been receiving extensive criticisms for having a significant negative impact on environment and people. As counterpoint of rapid pace cheap prices which trigger overconsumption, sustainable started turning into new trend demand business. interest consumers in sustainability continues to grow, literature analysing what drives or hinders them from consumption. However, acknowledging gender differences, there is gap regarding consumption perspective female consumers. The purpose this paper reveal females, comparing clusters university teachers students. doing this, qualitative research was conducted, with 24 semi-structured interviews total. findings revealed huge contradiction. Although females are aware elements, at same time, they, especially students, do not consider as primary motivation their behaviour. such, between attitude behaviour revealed. try find good ratio quality price, price usually wins when it comes purchasing clothes. representatives both shopping fast retailers; however, students much more often intensively comparison teachers. mainly use swapping redesigning practices. case second-hand shops Vinted were prevailing. Among drivers leading consumption, awareness, uniqueness personal style, item life-cycle extension mentioned.
