Purpose This paper identifies consumer acceptance criteria of artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled products and services in the business. We first investigate existing three models. They are technology model (TAM), unified theory use (UTAUT) (CAT). then discuss applicability these models for AI-enabled services. Finally, we outline shortcomings propose an product service (AIEPSAM). also validate proposed AIEPSAM with empirical results using primary survey data. Design/methodology/approach To understand customer’s point view on AI applications services, identify some critical factors present a conceptual framework consumers' based literature, prior research prominent management theories. Then, study broadens horizon beyond established principles associated to accommodate AI-specific factors/variables like data privacy, explainability apparent opacity algorithms. In this paper, that Findings argue although TAM, UTAUT CAT generally applicable explain attitudes towards technology, alone insufficient encompass entire spectrum AI-related issues must not be ignored. The model, namely AIEPSAM, accommodates limitations modifies make it suitable technology. Advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) signal a significant shift toward more automated and data-driven workplaces, emphasizing the need for Human Resource Development (HRD) to prepare workforce with adequate AI competencies AI-empowered environments. policies initiatives play crucial role providing frameworks actions that guide HRD efforts. In this study, we analyzed education national strategies (NAISs) from 50 countries delineate educational policy priorities, strategies, support resources developing an AI-competent workforce. Our analysis revealed only 13 demonstrated high-level prioritization clear objectives comprehensive measures, primarily developed economies Europe. We identified six categories of training focused on talent preparation reskilling. Additionally, four types were highlighted as key investments enhance success these strategies. The findings have implications practice, particularly designing implementing AI-focused, workplace-oriented, inclusive curricula, programs, consider contextual cultural factors. results suggest further research explore emerging theories, models, pedagogical impact elements competency development.
