Feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD) is a frequent diagnosis in cats, with bacterial causes constituting minor percentage of cases. This observational study aimed to assess the diagnostic and therapeutic approaches FLUTD among Italian veterinarians explore variations different workplaces. Data were collected via an anonymous survey completed by 317 from small clinics (SC), large (LC), veterinary hospitals (VH). Results revealed that approximately half respondents relied on clinical signs urinalysis for diagnosis, while fewer incorporated abdominal ultrasound. Urine culture sensitivity (UCS) testing was infrequently performed, primarily due financial logistical constraints, higher compliance VH practitioners. Antimicrobials widely employed, enhanced penicillins being most prescribed class. The empirical use quinolones raises concern regarding gaps antimicrobial stewardship. Despite some adherence ISCAID guidelines, discrepancies rigor, selection, treatment duration observed. Larger facilities demonstrated greater alignment evidence-based practices, emphasizing need widespread education appropriate use. underscores importance integrating guideline-based diagnostics stewardship managing feline diseases.
