Based
on
semi-structured
interviews
conducted
within
the
publishing
sector,
this
qualitative
case
study
research
examines
impact
of
global
pandemic
Istanbul's
industry.

The
COVID-19
pandemic
caused
major
changes
to
many
areas
at
the
very
heart
of
our
lives,
triggering
interventions
that
affected
people’s
everyday
activities,
both
socially
and
individually.

e-learning
online
platforms

music
education

created
a
drastic
shift
in
how
was
taught,
made,
enjoyed.
This
qualitative
study
provides
personal
insights
into
practices
choir
conductors
developed
when
in-person
music-making
became
impossible
due
health
risks.
Thirty-four
Italian
answered
11
open
questions
about
their
musical
activities
associated
experiences
during
main
lockdown
periods
2020
2021.
Our
findings
highlighted
four
overarching
themes—adapted
strategies,
perception
technology
for
choral
performances,
needs
achieving
mental
health,
remote
music-making—that
are
contextualized
discussed.
