Objective. Neurophysiological tools remain indispensable instruments in the assessment of psychiatric disorders. These techniques are widely available, inexpensive and well tolerated, providing access to brain functional alterations. In clinical context, electrophysiological required provide important information on function. While there is an immediate benefit application these daily routine (emergency assessments, exclusion organic alterations), also useful monitoring progress disorders or effects therapy. There increasing evidence convincing literature confirm that electroencephalography related can contribute diagnostic workup, identification subgroups disease categories, long-term causes facilitate response predictions. Methods Results. this report we focus 3 different novel developments use neurophysiological highly prevalent disorders: (1) value EEG recordings machine learning analyses (deep learning) order improve diagnosis dementia subtypes; (2) mismatch negativity early schizophrenia; (3) addiction prevention relapse using cognitive event-related potentials. Empirical was presented. Conclusion. Such emphasized role biological markers leading a more efficient care management.
