This study investigates challenges in understanding the mole concept among pre-service teachers Ghanaian Colleges of Education. Chemistry education is fundamental for fields such as medicine and engineering, yet students often face difficulties due to inadequate foundational knowledge ineffective teaching methods. The crucial grasping various chemical phenomena, but its complexity frequently results significant learning challenges. employs a mixed-method explanatory design, combining quantitative diagnostic tests qualitative interviews with 1,211 from six selected colleges. identifies key concept, including translating word problems into equations, determining ratios, deriving empirical molecular formulae, relationship between stoichiometric coefficients moles. analysis categorizes these comprehension, transformation, process skills, encoding errors, skills transformation being most prevalent. Findings reveal that many struggle solve without highlighting lack conceptual understanding. Interviews confirm data, indicating rely on rote memorization rather than grasp. concludes improvements methods are needed, emphasizing importance over recommending small group collaborative learning. Contributions include filling gaps literature regarding teachers’ suggesting practical recommendations enhancing chemistry education.

Purpose This paper aims to describe the phenomenon of tyrannical leadership in academic setting, emphasizing research scholars. It seeks understand how scholars experience and perceive leadership, its effects on their scholarly output well-being, coping strategies. Design/methodology/approach study uses a qualitative interpretive phenomenological approach, utilizing Gioia methodology explore experiences under leadership. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews with 14 from various disciplines who have experienced The conservation resources (COR) theory served as theoretical framework for analysis. Findings reveals four key dimensions academia: manifestations consequences scholars, institutional personal responses, impacts future landscape. main issues were stress social isolation, decreased performance results, potential employment opportunities. The go-along method is a way of interviewing people in situ. Combining participant observation and interviewing, the capitalizes on advantages both approaches. This places study participants context allows researchers to elicit interpretations, practices, experiences those within contexts. Based refugee maternal health that involved United States, we reflect specific research questions this approach can help answer, limitations employing methodological delineate process conducting go-along. has numerous benefits studying health. It assist identifying needs challenges with limited language skills or low educational levels, as well providing more nuanced understanding life proficiency. aid interactions between around them provide detailed information based spatial cues. observing how services are delivered ground. More importantly, it facilitate researchers’ vicarious for who may struggle their lives. In doing so, contextualized experiences.
