Well-being is a phenotype that increasingly recognized as both an important research topic across several disciplines (e.g., psychology, sociology, economics) well public policy goal. The term well-being itself umbrella used to describe multitude of constructs, including (but not exclusive to) happiness, subjective well-being, and psychological well-being. Based on former research, we have learned individual differences in phenotypes are caused partly by genetic factors, environmental factors. In this thesis, I aim unite studying how they dynamically combine contribute the first section start with re-evaluation (relationship between different) measures genetics. Concepts like flourishing, well-being, health, and happiness are of increasing interest across many fields, from psychology medicine to politics economics. However, these terms used in diverse contested ways, which makes it hard find common ground understanding. To attempt help remedy the confusion, this paper offers an overarching conceptual “map” within concepts can be situated, thereby providing a language framework for their consideration. Abstract Background Wellbeing is relatively stable over the life span. However, individuals differ in this stability and change. One explanation for these differences could be influence of different genetic or environmental factors on wellbeing time. Methods To investigate causes change across lifespan, we used cohort-sequential data from twins their siblings Netherlands Twin Register (NTR) (total N = 46.885, 56% females). We organized multiple age groups, childhood (age 5), to adolescence, up old 61+). Applying a longitudinal simplex model, investigated phenotypic continuity influences. Results peaked childhood, decreased during stabilized adulthood. In around 40% individual was explained by effects. The heritability toward adulthood (35–24%) contribution unique effects increased 76%. Environmental innovation found at every age, whereas only observed adolescence (10–18 years). adulthood, absence indicates underlying set genes influencing phases.
