Concepts
like
flourishing,
well-being,
health,
and
happiness
are
of
increasing
interest
across
many
fields,
from
psychology
medicine
to
politics
economics.
However,
these
terms
used
in
diverse
contested
ways,
which
makes
it
hard
find
common
ground
understanding.
To
attempt
help
remedy
the
confusion,
this
paper
offers
an
overarching
conceptual
“map”
within
concepts
can
be
situated,
thereby
providing
a
language
framework
for
their
consideration.
Moreover,
while
overall
configuration
map
is
conceptually
logically
stable,
its
specific
elements
more
flexible,
particularly
scalable
granularity
(allowing
fine-grained
differentiation
internal
regions)

revisions

Wellbeing

individuals
differ
in
this
stability
and
change.

differences

causes

across
lifespan,
we
used
cohort-sequential
data
from
twins
their
siblings

multiple
age
groups,
childhood

adolescence,

61+).
Applying
a
longitudinal
simplex
model,
investigated
phenotypic
continuity

Results
peaked
childhood,
decreased
during
stabilized
adulthood.

explained
by
effects.
The
heritability
toward
adulthood
(35–24%)

effects
increased
76%.
