The existing literature supports the anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antiviral capacities of polyphenol extracts derived from Geranium sanguineum L. These exhibit potential in hindering viral replication by inhibiting enzymes like DNA polymerase reverse transcriptase. properties G. seem to complement its immunomodulatory effects, contributing infection resolution. While preclinical studies on suggest effectiveness against COVID-19, there is still a lack clinical evidence. Therefore, polyphenols extracted this herb warrant further investigation as alternative for preventing treating COVID-19 infections.

Mutation in the genome of SARS-CoV-2 may play a role immune evasion, pathogenicity, and speed its transmission. Our investigation aimed to evaluate mutations that exist NSP2.RNA was extracted from nasopharyngeal swabs 100 COVID-19 patients. RT-PCR performed on all samples using NSP2-specific primers. Following gel electrophoresis, bands were cut, purified, sequenced Sanger method. After sequencing, 90 sequences could be used for further analysis. Bioinformatics analysis conducted investigate effect protein structure, stability, prediction homology models, phylogeny tree. The patients' mean age 51.08. The results revealed 8 17 NSP2 (R207C, T224I, G262V, T265I, K337D, N348S, G392D, I431M) missense. One deletion also found NSP2. Among missense studied, K337D G392D increased structural stability while others decreased it. homology-designed models demonstrated homologies comparable Wuhan-HU-1 virus. Our study suggested modulate NSP2, tracking viral evolution should implemented vaccine development updated.

Coronaviruses have emerged as a global health challenge, with the recent outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 affecting more than 600 million individuals worldwide. While vaccination remains central preventive approach, addressing involves antiviral drugs, monoclonal antibodies, and corticosteroids. Research indicates that coumarin exhibits potent properties. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate properties newly synthesized analogues (NCA) against coronaviruses. The involved synthesis NCAs through esterification, hydrazination, imination, cyclo-condensation reactions, followed by their characterization using FTIR, NMR, Mass Spectrometry. Cell viability analysis was conducted HEK-293 cells, viral replication inhibition activity OC43 assessed plaque assays. Infectious Bronchitis Virus (IBV) evaluated based on mortality rate, lesion development, RNA load suppression. successfully elucidated structures. assay demonstrated ability effectively inhibit replication. Analysis qRTPCR confirmed decrease in following NCA treatment. Immunofluorescence assays also showed reduction infection presence NCAs. Evaluation cytotoxicity cells indicated exhibited favourable safety profile while inhibiting IBV These findings highlight promising activities coronavirus infection.

Polyphenolic compounds are widely represented in objects of plant origin and have diverse types biological activity. Since ancient times, the beneficial effect various galenic preparations on human health has been known, they acted as almost only source treatment for diseases improvement well-being. The major components many herbal medicines flavonoids, which by both individual structures related carbohydrate components. One flavonoids plants is myricetin. This molecule belongs to one most hydroxylated a wide range therapeutic possibilities. modern review summarizes latest information myricetin’s antioxidant, antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, neuroprotective, antitumor, hepatoprotective activity its functioning cardiovascular system. From results studying myricetin, it obvious that polyphenolic compound promising substance prevention complex therapy diseases. It should be noted myricetin can considered potential candidate targeted design new substances with more pronounced pharmacological effects. In addition, flavonoid finds application biologically active additives food products, expands prospects research.
