Introduction The rapid development of agriculture has brought about significant negative impacts on the environment, such as land pollution and ecological degradation. root cause environmental issues lies in human behavior, with improper farming practices by farmers being a major contributor to agricultural pollution. This paper explores relationship between farmers' digital literacy their pro-environmental behaviors, examining mediating roles subjective norms, behavioral attitudes, perceived control. Additionally, it investigates varying PEB among different levels education, social capital, household income. Methods Based data from China Land Economic Survey (CLES), this study utilizes an ordered probit regression analysis method analyze 923 sample respondents 24 villages Jiangsu Province. All analyses were conducted using Stata 15.0. Results research findings indicate that enhances likelihood engaging PEB. practice is achieved reinforcing strengthening enhancing control (as core elements Theory Planned Behavior theory), thereby promoting implementation farmers. Further reveals plays crucial role higher Discussion results suggest policymakers should enhance implement specific measures improve When willingness for are improved, may engage environmentally friendly practices.

The development of rural digitalization has become a key driving force for promoting green agricultural production. However, in practical operations, due to the insufficient digital skills and lack necessary human capital among farmers, they struggle distinguish between production methods traditional practices, which turn reduces their willingness adopt This study employed empirical research collect data from 854 farmers China's largest grain-producing region used Probit model analyze impact on farmers' engage results indicate that an increase can significantly enhance Additionally, it was found online learning towards production, with informal proving more effective. Further analysis revealed social networks play mediating role also explored heterogeneous different groups highlighting increases have pronounced effect small-scale middle-aged Therefore, continuously enhancing capital, emphasizing diverse channels, leveraging 'acquaintance networks' encourage improve awareness through platforms are critical sustainable agriculture developing countries.

Agricultural social services (ASS) are crucial in alleviating resource constraints and advancing agricultural modernization. Using the data derived from China Land Economic Survey (CLES2022), this study empirically investigates how digital literacy influences farmers’ adoption of ASS, employing both Probit Propensity score matching (PSM) models. Additionally, it explores mediating roles long-term production vision part-time employment degrees relationship. The findings are: (1) exhibited a statistically significant positive effect on ASS at 1% level. Moreover, impact varied among participants technology training, different education levels, varying levels risk preference; (2) act as mediators, enhancing ASS. Based these findings, recommendations have been developed to improve literacy, promote enhance well degree part-time.

With the rapid evolution of rural digital economy, analyzing impact literacy level on farm households’ formal borrowing is crucial for easing credit constraints and fostering economic growth. Leveraging data from 2020 China Family Panel Studies (CFPSs) applying binary probit models Karlson–Holm–Breen (KHB) method, this study delineates positive correlation between increased among households. The findings, which were robust against endogeneity robustness tests, underscore role in augmenting farmers’ earnings social networks, with a notably stronger mediation by earnings. effects are particularly significant middle-aged older, less educated males central western regions, contrast younger, highly females east. This research advocates enhancing infrastructure education, alongside financial system reforms, to advance development support sustainable revitalization.

Introduction Engaging in contract farming represents a crucial avenue for developing countries to integrate small farmers into modern agricultural practices. Existing research believes that offers promising opportunity fostering sustainable development. However, insufficient attention has been directed toward investigating the varying impacts of different organizational models within on farmers' transition green production Methods This study investigates impact technological efficiency using survey data from 719 wheat growers Shandong Province, China. The propensity score matching method and multiple mediation effects are employed empirical analysis. Results model plays pivotal role determining whether participation can improve farmers. Participation an integrated demonstrates significant effect improving efficiency, whereas quasi-integrated does not show improvement. Integrated through expanding degree land consolidation enhancing level productive service, improves only by intensification. As economic incentive measure, purchase price strengthening enhancement is moderate when exceeds local average selling more than 19.3%. Conversely, dividend income remains consistent, with higher incomes correlating stronger moderating effect. Discussion technology correlates significantly model. Compared model, distinctly excels advancing evidenced its ability consolidate fragmented land, provide services, offer incentives. Therefore, unlock latent potential driving transformation, shift levels integration essential.
