This study explored design solutions that can help clinicians manage work-related stress, pursue mindful work, and practice relaxation coping strategies.Clinicians are experiencing burnout at increasingly higher rates, leading to compromised patient care. While self-care stress management strategies shown be effective in healthcare settings, little is known about how the of settings facilitate these strategies.Using findings a preceding by authors, virtual walk-through video proposal for free-standing emergency department was built. Feedback data were collected from 10 in-depth interviews, emerging themes identified using qualitative content analysis.Our suggest work environments reflect intentional efforts meet clinicians' needs enhance their feeling being valued sense professional worth. Clinicians more likely step away if there multiple spaces bio breaks rest breaks. Primary break rooms preferred close care areas, but respite/escape distant private areas. Participants endorsed provision least one staff bathroom large enough extra seating outdoor respite space.
