The green synthesis of silver nanoparticles have attracted many researchers due to their wide range applications. objective this study is synthesize using water hyacinth extract for the detection metal ions in aquatic solutions. In present study, employing leaf as capping and reducing agent has been reported. particles showed absorption maxima at 406 nm establishing formation nanoparticles. were characterized by FTIR, XRD, SEM-EDX, TEM Zeta Potential. polyphenols are accountable activity which was revealed FTIR spectra. XRD crystalline nature morphology, size shape investigated with help electron microscopy techniques. observed be spherically shaped an average diameter 10.78 ± 4.61 nm. EDX spectra established presence elemental A zeta potential -31.7 mV recorded indicating that stable. These biosynthesized employed detect aqueous solutions two (Hg<sup>2+</sup> Fe<sup>3+</sup>) 1000 micro molar concentration detected successfully. Thus, results indicate synthesized from application ions.
