Endophytic fungi are plant symbiont microorganisms, diverse and abundant in tropical regions, with great potential as biocontrol agents of agricultural fungal diseases. The objective the present work was to evaluate vitro antifunfal activity endophytic associated creole cultivars Cucumis sativus Lagenaria siceraria from Yucatán. strains were isolated identified different organs, be subjected dual confrontations antibiotic tests. Twenty species antifungal effects against Corynespora cassiicola, Colletotrichum truncatum Fusarium equiseti identified, obtaining inhibition ranges 17.72–100%, 16.51–91.55% 4.64–91.89%, respectively. Aspergillus flavus, Lasiodiplodia pseudotheobromae Trichoderma longibrachiatum exhibited highest percentages three phytopathogens. Likewise, these endophytes demonstrated an effect their extracts, mainly inhibiting growth F. by up 46.46%. L. strain has characteristics that give it agent, so its applications conditions should continue explored. This represents a first effort understand diversity native crops region.

ABSTRACT This review covers, for the first time, all methods based on use of Aspergillus strains as biocontrol agents management plant diseases caused by fungi and oomycetes. Atoxigenic have been screened in a variety hosts, such peanuts, maize kernels, legumes, during preharvest postharvest stages. These against wide range pathogens, Fusarium , Phytophthora Pythium species, suggesting broad applicability spectrum. The highest efficacies were generally observed when using non-toxigenic mycotoxin-producing strains. modes action included synthesis antifungal metabolites, kojic acid volatile organic compounds (VOCs), secretion hydrolytic enzymes, competition space nutrients, induction disease resistance. degraded Sclerotinia sclerotiorum sclerotia, showing high control efficacy this pathogen. Collectively, although two commercialized aflatoxin degradation, new application is emerging needs to be optimized.

Abstract Pathogenic fungi employ numerous strategies to colonize plants, infect them, reduce crop yield and quality, cause significant losses in agricultural production. The increasing use of chemical pesticides has led various ecological environmental issues, including the emergence resistant weeds, soil compaction, water pollution, all negatively impacting sustainability. Additionally, extensive development synthetic fungicides adverse effects on animal human health, prompting exploration alternative approaches green for phytopathogen control. Microorganisms living sponges represent a promising source novel bioactive secondary metabolites, potentially useful developing new nematicidal antimicrobial agents. This study focuses extracting compounds from endosymbiotic bacteria associated with marine sponge Hyrtios erect sp. (collected NIOF Station, Hurghada, Red Sea, Egypt) using organic solvents. Bacillus was isolated identified through 16 S rRNA gene sequencing. biocidal activity gotheilii MSB1 extracts screened against plant pathogenic bacteria, fungi, nematodes. n-butanol extract showed potential as biological fungicide Alternaria alternata Fusarium oxysporum . Both n-hexane ethyl acetate exhibited negative impacts Erwinia carotovora Ralstonia solanacearum , whereas had positive effect. Regarding activity, demonstrated in-vitro root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita which causes serious vegetable diseases, but no effects. findings suggest that sponges, particularly B. MSB1, hold control agents pathogens. extract, particular, displayed activities These results support further such sustainable, environmentally friendly alternatives practices.
