This study explores the effects of synbiotics on growth, intestinal health, and immunity in Asian fossil catfish ( Heteropneustes fossilis ), a crucial species Southeast aquaculture. With rising use antibiotics aquaculture, which poses risks to both environment consumer there is an urgent need for sustainable alternatives. investigates how synbiotics—combinations probiotics prebiotics—can enhance fish health performance. Four dietary treatments with varying synbiotic concentrations (0%, 4%, 6%, 8%) were tested over 45 days. Results indicated that supplementation significantly improved growth metrics, including final weight specific rate (SGR), highest benefits observed at 8% inclusion. Additionally, enhanced by increasing villi height width crypt depth positively affected hematological parameters, notably elevating hemoglobin (Hb) levels. Histological analysis revealed liver tissue organization hepatocyte morphology higher concentrations. These findings suggest offer substantial immunity, positioning them as viable, ecofriendly alternative Further research should aim refine formulations investigate their underlying mechanisms optimize application aquaculture practices.

Introduction Mushrooms are rich in protein, polysaccharides, and other nutrients as a natural homology of medicine food species, among which Agaricus bisporus is one the most widely cultivated consumed mushrooms worldwide. The mushroom stipe by-product industry that can be utilized feed resource based on its nutritional value. This study examined effects (ABS) additive growth performance, blood indexes, rumen fermentation parameters, nutrient digestion utilization, microbiota heifers. Methods Twenty Holstein heifers (268 ± 9.43 d age) were blocked 10 groups 2 according to their live weights ages, within each group, randomly allocated 1 treatments: control diet (CON), plus ABS (ABS, 150 g·DM/animal/d). Results Heifers supplemented with had higher average daily gain tendency decrease conversion ratio, but parameters similar between two treatments. increased IgG, IgA, IgM, SOD, T-AOC, GSH-Px concentrations while decreasing MDA concentration than CON. Although energy nitrogen utilization treatments, apparent total-tract digestibilities NDF ADF for CON Feeding relative abundance phylum (Verrucomicrobiota), genera ( Akkermansia Ligilactobacillus ), species muciniphila murinus ) Discussion In conclusion, receiving have greater improved serum immune antioxidant some bacteria,
