Background: Atherosclerosis is a systemic disease that can involve multiple vascular beds. The risk factors for atherosclerosis in beds remain unclear. Apolipoprotein E (APOE) involved inflammation and lipid deposition the process of atherosclerosis. objective this study was to investigate whether APOE polymorphisms are associated with Methods: A total 416 patients single bed 658 were included. genotypes detected differences between groups compared. Logistic regression analysis performed analyze relationship Results: E3/E4 genotype frequency lower than (11.4% vs 17.8%, P =0.004). There no significant difference age gender distribution, proportion history smoking, alcohol consumption, hypertension, diabetes mellitus two (all > 0.05), among different alleles 0.05). indicated (E3/E4 E3/E3: odds ratio (OR) 0.598, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.419– 0.854, =0.005), ϵ4 allele (ϵ4 ϵ3: OR 0.630, CI: 0.444– 0.895, =0.010) Conclusion: Keywords: , polymorphism, atherosclerosis,
