Abstract
Despite
the
efficacy
of
antiretroviral
therapy
(ART)
in
reducing
global
incidence
vertical
HIV
transmissions,
more
than
120,000
children
are
still
infected
with
virus
each
year.
Since
ART
cannot
clear
reservoir
that
is
established
soon
after
infection,
living
(CLWH)
forced
to
rely
on
for
their
lives
and
suffer
from
long-term
drug-related
complications.
Pediatric
like
adult
associated
gut
microbial
dysbiosis,
loss
epithelial
integrity,
bacterial
translocation,
CD4
+
T
cell
depletion,
systemic
immune
activation,
viral
establishment.
However,
unlike
adults,
vertically
acquired
by
infants
interacts
a
microbiome

evolving
while
concomitantly
shaping
infant’s
ontogeny.
Therefore,
