Insulin resistance (IR) is often present in diabetes, which imposes a heavy burden on the prevention and treatment of diabetes. Triglyceride glucose index (TyG) simple, reliable reproducible detecting IR, has great advantages predicting risk The aim this study was to analyze potential association between TyG diabetes Chinese middle-aged older adults using prospective cohort design. This used longitudinal data from five waves China Health Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) conducted 2011, 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020, involving 5886 participants. We Cox proportional regression modeling investigate new-onset decision tree analysis identify high-risk groups for Finally, ROC curves were applied order construct predictive model A total 1054 (17.9%) participants developed throughout 9-year follow-up. Our utilized multivariate found significant correlation risk. also revealed nonlinear relationship risk.Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC) curve showed that Area under curve(AUC) area 0.652 (P < 0.05). can be as factor elderly population China. Caregiver burden is a critical issue in healthcare, particularly among informal caregivers of hospitalized elderly patients, as it can significantly impact both the caregivers' well-being and quality patient care. This study aims to identify latent profiles caregiver patients factors associated with burden. 506 pairs their were interviewed using Sociodemographic questionnaire, Burden Inventory, Perceived Social Support Scale, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Barthel Index. Latent profile analysis identified profiles, multinomial logistic regression determined factors. The was classified into three profiles: low (49.01%), moderate (41.90%), high (9.09%). Individual (older age, economic stress, poor self-rated health, caregiving ability profound anxiety) situational (inadequate social support, caring for limited ADL) level (P<0.05). These showed different characteristics dimensions findings provide basis developing targeted interventions alleviate enhance care quality.

Abstract Background: This study aims to analyze the comorbidity patterns of chronic diseases in elderly patients aged 65 and above at Panzhihua Central Hospital their relationships with gender age, revealing strength associations between common diseases, thereby providing data support for clinical management public health strategies. Methods: retrospective analyzed medical records 88,742 hospitalized from January 2019 December 2023. Patient data, including gender, primary diagnosis, other disease diagnoses, were collected through hospital's information system. Diseases classified statistically according International Classification Diseases, 10th Revision (ICD-10). The among 13 analyzed. Results: Hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart are most patients. three-way pattern is HTN + DM CA, a prevalence 41.05%. Gender age have significant impacts on patterns. Chronic obstructive pulmonary (COPD) failure (HF) more male patients, while gastrointestinal renal predominant females. As increases, rate cardiovascular neurological rises significantly, particularly individuals 80 above. Hypertension shows association like diabetes disease, relationship atrial fibrillation strong, suggesting potential shared pathological mechanism these diseases. Conclusions: there high degree significantly influence patterns, strong findings provide important evidence population, development personalized strategies based characteristics optimize allocation resources.

Background Androgen antagonists, including apalutamide, darolutamide, and enzalutamide, play a crucial role in the treatment of prostate cancer. This research evaluated adverse drug reactions (ADRs) associated with use these androgen antagonists as reported by World Health Organization (WHO). Additionally, it compared reaction (ADR) profiles three drugs to identify which one presents lowest risk for individualized patient use. Methods study employed retrospective descriptive analysis design. We collected event reports marketed from WHO-VigiAccess analyzed them combination bibliometric analysis. calculated percentage each compare similarities differences among drugs. Results A total 172,020 events (AEs) were VigiAccess at time this study. Our findings show apalutamide causes most endocrine disorders. Darolutamide has highest rate blood lymphatic disorders, while enzalutamide nervous system The ten common ADRs identified fatigue, rash, death, hot flush, diarrhoea, asthenia, nausea, dizziness, arthralgia, decreased appetite. Conclusion utilizes real data WHO-VigiAccess, offers valuable insights clinical reference. On hand, we confirm both existing potential effects antagonists. other possible future directions, thereby supporting case more scientific treatment.

Background The prevalence of chronic coronary heart diseases (CHDs) increases with age in the elderly, which represents one top-ranked causes death and disease burden. Methods This study aimed to investigate management efficiency telemedicine based on remote multiparameter monitoring elderly patients CHD. A total 1248 diagnosed CHD were enrolled. subjects randomly divided into two groups, wearable equipment-based telemedical (WTM) group traditional follow-up (TFM) group. Face-to-face clinical interview at least once every 2 months was required TFM collect medical records. Patients WTM provided equipment complete monitoring, real-time alerts health intervention via virtual consultations medication recommendations. Results mean 71.1 (68.0–82.0) years 71.0 (68.0–81.0) years, respectively‏. After a 12-month management, presented lower occurrence hospitalisation (HR 0.59, 95% CI=0.47 0.73, p<0.0001) major adverse cardiac events 0.60, CI=0.44 0.82, p=0.0012) compared Conclusion could help out-of-hospital reduce incidence rehospitalisation
