Exercise brings great benefits to patients with depression and is recommended as adjunct treatment for depressive disorder. The low compliance exercise makes the effective management of a serious challenge. Preferences are important promoting intrinsic motivation, enjoyment, behavior maintenance. This study quantified preferences by discrete choice experiment (DCE), which provided references development intervention programs, so improve physical activity level promote symptoms. six attributes (Professional guidance, Interestingness, Type, Special venue, Frequency, Safety) their levels were developed through literature review, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions. software Ngene 1.2 was used generate 36 sets, divided into 4 blocks. A survey instrument adhering design-principles DCE. mixed logit model estimate depression. probability scenarios predicted. 323 depressed analyzed. High interestingness most attribute (coefficient = 0.84, P < 0.01), followed high safety 0.79, 0.01). There gender-based daily steps-based difference in preference. optimal strategy should be fun safe, 3-4 times week, venue without restrictions, professional combination teams individuals. Based on findings, this target population prefer exercises such intrerestingness, safety, while considering deference preferences.
