Background: This study aimed to analyze the effects of periodontal treatment and individual-and tooth-related factors on tooth extraction in people with disabilities. Methods: The Korea National Health Insurance claims data individuals disabilities aged 40∼64 years chronic periodontitis 2008 were obtained.Of these, disabled who underwent scaling/root plaining, subgingival curettage/periodontal surgery, or non-periodontal treatments, their teeth selected. The 716,688 from 39,097 patients was tracked until 2018, patient-and tooth-level related loss identified using a mixed-effect logistic regression analysis. Results: Data approximately 17% extracted during follow-up period 11 years.Among variables, planing at baseline associated lower risk (odds ratio=0.692and 0.769, respectively, p<0.001).Non-vital increased by 3.159 times (p<0.001).Among patient-level females less likely have lost than males, those orthopedic impairment brain lesions/mental disabilities, higher age group, income level, residents medium/small cities rural areas more (p<0.001).Conclusion: Through follow-up, scaling root planing, experience least once, female sex, older age, income, smaller residential areas, type disability, pulp vitality found be periodontitis. To prevent it is necessary establish dental plan that considers timing characteristics patient teeth.

Disabled persons’ chairside dentistry is challenging. We aimed for a retrospective breakdown of dental services delivered to disabled patients by students and discuss feasibility approach. Consecutive patients, who received scheduled treatment from 2002 2021, were included. Demographic data, medical diagnoses, number sessions, performed treatments, break-offs collected analyzed with descriptive statistics. In total, 224 individuals various disabilities (mean age 36.4 ± 14.6 years) in 2282 sessions altogether (10.3 11. per patient). Professional tooth cleaning was the most frequently provided (55.8% sessions). A total 654 teeth restored fillings, 97 extracted, 56 had endodontic treatment, 25 removable dentures fitted. Treatment break-off due incompliance referral general anesthesia occurred 74 (33%). Chairside persons feasible many cases. Our study may serve as an incentive clinicians/researchers report on modalities outcomes special oral health care needs, preferably use prospective designs, contribute data strategies fight control inadequacies.

BACKGROUND/AIMS:The aim of this study was to evaluate the push-out bond strength root-end cavities filled with different retrograde filling materials. MATERIALS AND METHODS:Straight and single root canals 180 maxillary incisor teeth were prepared, obturated, randomly divided into nine groups (n=20 per group). In each group, one cavity preparation techniques (drill, erbium:yttrium, aluminum-garnet laser, or ultrasonic retrotip) applied matched a [ProRoot mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), Tech Biosealer Root End, Biodentine].Three slices sectioned from apex, middle ones selected. They placed in universal testing machine, applying force until failure occurred. The values at analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis H test post-hoc multiple comparison (p<0.05). RESULTS:The strengths between prepared bur, retrotip materials (MTA, Biodentine) determined be statistically significantly (p<0.05).The highest mean value occurred + Biodentine whereas lowest seen bur group. There no statistical differences laser MTA (p>0.05).However, bonding drill higher than CONCLUSION:In laser-prepared cavities, showed lower compared other materials.Similarly, better bonding, while weaker bonding.
