This
study
aimed
to
investigate
the
current
status
and
associated
factors
of
hand
oral
hygiene
behaviors
among
adolescent
students
in
Zhejiang
Province,
Eastern
China.

Oral
health
is
a
critical
but
often
overlooked
aspect
of
overall
well-being,
influencing
physical,
social,
and
emotional
aspects.
Despite
advancements
in
dental
science,
oral
issues
persist,
particularly
underserved
communities.
This
study
assesses
senior
high
school
students’
behaviors,
attitudes
toward
services,
hygiene
practices,
common
problems.
Employing
descriptive-comparative-correlational
design,
the
utilized
modified
survey
questionnaire
to
collect
data
from
274
randomly
selected
students
at
Saint
Mary’s
University,
Bayombong,
Nueva
Vizcaya,
during
School
Year
2024-2025.
Findings
revealed
that
respondents
exhibited
favorable
behaviors
towards
health.
Significant
differences
were
observed
based
on
sex,
grade
level,
academic
track.
A
moderately
positive
correlation
existed
between
attitudes.
Key
factors
included
self-discipline,
family
environment,
dietary
habits.
The
most
reported
toothaches,
cavities,
orthodontic
concerns.
Respondents
emphasized
regular
toothbrushing,
proper
hygiene,
frequent
check-ups
could
help
prevent
these

Abstract
Background
Mefakia
is
a
well-known
traditional
chewing
wood

in
Ethiopia

cleanse
the
mouth.
