Abstract Ovarian cancer (OC) remains one of the most lethal gynecological malignancies globally. Despite implementation various medical imaging approaches for OC screening, achieving accurate differential diagnosis ovarian tumors continues to pose significant challenges due variability in image performance, resulting a lack objectivity that relies heavily on expertise professionals. This challenge can be addressed through emergence and advancement radiomics, which enables high-throughput extraction valuable information from conventional images. Furthermore, radiomics integrate with genomics, novel approach termed radiogenomics, allows more comprehensive, precise, personalized assessment tumor biological features. In this review, we present an extensive overview application radiogenomics diagnosing predicting tumors. The findings indicate artificial intelligence methods based accurately differentiate between benign malignant tumors, as well classify their subtypes. Moreover, these are effective forecasting survival rates, treatment outcomes, metastasis risk, recurrence patients OC. It is anticipated advancements will function decision-support tools managing while contributing precision medicine.

Abstract Background In ovarian cancer (OvCa), achieving complete resection (RO) in initial surgery is crucial for improving prognosis. However, patients with undetected microscopic metastasis post-RO often have poorer outcomes. This study explores prognostic factors OvCa who underwent RO surgery, focusing on the role of ascites cytology as an indicator peritoneal metastasis. Methods We analyzed data from 975 cases Tokai Ovarian Tumor Study Group database (1986–2019). Excluding without chemotherapy or distant metastasis, we examined using Cox regression analysis. Propensity score (PS) methods balanced cytology-positive and -negative groups, subgroup analysis clinical stage volume. Results Multivariate identified FIGO III positive poor overall progression-free survival. After PS adjustment, also shortened intervals post-recurrence, especially lymph node Subgroup revealed a more substantial impact early-stage cases. Conclusion The present results suggest that R0 status, presence tumor cells independent negative factor may be micro-metastasis.

Abstract High‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) is the most common and aggressive subtype of cancer, accounting for approximately 70% all cases contributing significantly to high mortality rates associated with this disease. Because asymptomatic nature early stage disease, patients are diagnosed at advanced stages when has already spread into abdominal cavity, requiring complex intensive surgical chemotherapeutic interventions followed by maintenance therapies. Although a minority well defined genetic syndromes, specific risk factors clear etiology in many remain elusive. HGSOC tumors characterized frequency somatic gene copy number alterations, often defects homologous recombination repair DNA. All attempts introduce an effective screening date have been unsuccessful. This review elucidates complexities surrounding encompasses its etiology, epidemiology, classification, pathogenesis, current array treatment strategies. Understanding molecular underpinnings crucial development targeted therapies personalized multimodal approaches centralized therapeutic structures. also examines importance tumor microenvironment. In addition, authors' objective underscore critical placing patient's perspective diversity forefront strategies, thereby fostering genuinely participatory decision‐making process ultimately improving patient quality life.

Introduction Ovarian cancer remains a leading cause of gynecologic cancer-related mortality worldwide. Identifying perioperative factors that influence survival outcomes is essential for optimizing care. This study evaluates the impact such as intraoperative blood transfusions and hospital length stay (LOS) on rates in ovarian patients undergoing surgical debulking. Methods retrospective analyzed charts 314 who underwent surgery at single institution between 2010 2018. Patients were grouped based status: “Live” or “Death”. Variables included demographics, tumor size, comorbidity, anesthesia time, estimated loss, transfusion, readmission, length, survival. Statistical analyses log-rank tests mean estimations: chi-square Mann-Whitney U-test. Significance was set P < .05. Results The follow-up 50.5 months (95% CI, 47.8-53.2). Prolonged LOS (>3 days) significantly associated with reduced (47.4 vs 52.4 months, = .015). requiring had poorer (42.0 95% 36.3-47.7 53.1 50.3-55.9, .001). “Death” group experienced greater longer surgical/anesthesia times, higher fluid requirements. Conclusion stays are worse surgery. These findings underscore importance optimization strategies, including minimizing transfusion requirements reducing through enhanced recovery protocols.
