Hormonal imbalances play a crucial role in the development of various diseases, with significant impact on gynecological system, especially onset uterine fibroids (UFs). UFs, also known as myomas or leiomyomas, are noncancerous growths commonly observed women, particularly during their reproductive years. By age 50, many women experience fibroids, though condition's prevalence varies significantly across different ethnic groups. While most remain asymptomatic, those that symptomatic can lead to several issues, such irregular bleeding, pelvic discomfort, and complications pregnancy. Receiving diagnosis be distressing, when concerns arise about potential link more serious conditions. This distress adversely affect woman's quality life mental health, sometimes contributing emotional distress, depressive symptoms, even suicidal ideation. The management UFs encompasses spectrum approaches, from careful monitoring medical surgical interventions, which chosen based severity symptoms patient's preferences. Psychological support valuable helping manage anxiety fears associated treatment process. Consequently, women's health warrants attention. paper aims review existing scientific literature between hormonal imbalances, an increased risk psychiatric disorders.
