Purpose Corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the sustainable development goals (SDGs) have multiple interactions with higher education institutions (HEIs), CSR strategies present a remarkable importance for companies society, being necessary universities to provide teaching research within this topic. The purpose of paper is analyze practical implications implementation sustainability concepts in HEIs and, by extension, society. Design/methodology/approach A sample formed papers obtained from WoS (Web Science) Scopus databases was used (34 30 Scopus). Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) have a significant role in raising competences critical for addressing global sustainability challenges. However, lack of awareness was observed among university students. This study examines students’ and pro-environmental behaviors within higher education institution Jordan. It explores the educational institutions fostering encouraging by integrating sustainable development goals into their curricula. The employs quantitative methodology, comprising primary data collected through designed survey. survey answered 503 students from University research adopted combination statistical methods analysis results, including t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Tukey’s post hoc test. A regression results performed to test proposed hypotheses. reveal that while moderate level awareness, they display high behavior. Universities play a significant role in fostering energy efficiency and sustainability habits among the younger generation. As centres of knowledge innovation, they are uniquely positioned to influence attitudes behaviours future leaders. Studies measuring effectiveness sustainability-based educational interventions at higher-level institutions, whether curriculum-oriented Chen et al (2024); Zin (2023); Mohamed (2024) or campus-focused initiatives (Dagiliute al., 2018; Jehtae 2021; Ribeiro (2021), have largely indicated that university undergraduates' level is low moderate levels, with limited adoption practice. This paper presents pilot study conducted measure students' knowledge, behaviours, self-efficacy towards practices. The sample involved 79 students from one faculties Universiti Teknologi MARA Puncak Alam Campus. findings reveal was foundational level. Although demonstrated safety consciousness valued practice, were unwilling sacrifice convenience for energy-saving minimal involvement collective efforts. Students generally confident their ability integrate sustainable practices into lives; however, consistency might waver under time constraints competing priorities. also suggest recognized importance advocacy initiatives. This study investigates the sustainability consciousness and environmental behaviors of sports science students, focusing on demographic differences. A total 440 voluntary students (213 females 227 males) from Faculty Sports Sciences participated, selected through simple random sampling. Data collection tools included a researcher-designed personal information form, Sustainable Consciousness Scale, Environmental Behavior Scale. analysis was performed using SPSS 22, employing descriptive statistics to summarize data. Normality tests were conducted determine suitability parametric analyses, followed by t-tests one-way variance (ANOVA) tests. Pearson correlation regression analyses also utilized. The findings revealed no significant differences in based variables such as active participation or duration. However, identified gender, age, academic achievement.
