Undergraduate nursing students' interpersonal skills are closely related to their clinical competence, yet research on the effects of sensitivity and its mediating mechanisms is not found. To investigate undergraduate role self-efficacy subjective well-being. This study was a cross-sectional design conducted in Henan Province, China, from March April 2024, using convenience sampling method, questionnaires Interpersonal Competence Questionnaire, Sensitivity Scale, General Self-Efficacy Index Well-Being were administered 745 students. The resulting data analyzed SPSS 25.0, structural equation modeling constructed Amos 26.0 explore well-being between skill. skill students at moderate level (M ± SD: 116.16 29.383), had significant negative effect (r = −0.373, p < 0.01). Self-efficacy acted as chain mediators skill, accounting for 6.51% total effect. Nursing educators should emphasize take feasible measures improve promote skills.
