Abstract
Background
Nurse
turnover
is
a
global
public
health
challenge,
particularly
in
China
due
to
high
work
intensity
and
personnel
shortages.
Effective
nursing
management
well-being
strategies
can
reduce
intentions
by
improving
job
satisfaction
environments.
However,
empirical
evidence
on
how
professional
calling
influences
nurse
lacking.
This
study
aims
investigate
the
mediating
role
of
engagement
between
among
Chinese
clinical
nurses.
Methods
cross-sectional
survey
research
design.
A
convenience
sampling
method
was
used
select
906
nurses
from
Sichuan
Zhejiang
provinces
China.

intention
scale
were
included
subjects.
Results
Correlation
analysis
results
revealed
that
negatively
correlated
with
(r=-0.852,
P
<
0.01),
(r=-0.790,
significantly
positively
(r
=
0.834,
0.01).
The
mediation
effect
found
total
−
0.432,
direct
-0.322,
accounting
for
74.5%
effect,
0.110,
25.5%
effect.
Conclusions
Enhancing
through
interventions
strengthen
nurses'
effectively
intentions.
Specific
include
environments,
providing
career
development
opportunities,
fostering
sense
identity.
