Combination of current antidiabetic agents with natural antioxidants to manage diabetes mellitus and its complications has appeared as an emerging trend. Curcumin, a yellow pigment isolated from Curcuma longa rhizomes, gained attention due beneficial effects in controlling the disturbances observed mellitus. The purpose this study was investigate if yoghurt enriched curcumin metformin, individually or mixtures, ameliorates physiometabolic parameters, glycoxidative stress biomarkers, paraoxonase 1 (PON 1) activity diabetic rats. Streptozotocin-diabetic rats (6-week-old Wistar rats) were treated for 30 days mixtures (10 rats/group). After treatments, plasma levels glucose, triacylglycerol, cholesterol, thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS, biomarker lipid oxidation), fluorescent advanced glycation end products (AGEs), PON 1, antioxidant enzyme assessed. Data analyzed using one-way analysis variance (ANOVA) followed by Student–Newman–Keuls test. Increasing evidence has suggested that the presence of remnant lipoproteins is a significant risk factor for atherosclerosis. Remnant are rich in triglycerides (TGs), and main components include very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) fasting state. Diabetic patients often have hypertriglyceridemia with elevated levels VLDL cholesterol but normal low-density (LDL-C). The aim present study was to elucidate potential role lipoproteins-induced atherosclerosis occurrence development in-stent restenosis (ISR) diabetic coronary artery disease. enrolled 2312 type 2 diabetes mellitus who underwent percutaneous intervention from January 2013 December 2014 were followed up by angiography. Patients divided into two groups based on or absence ISR, multivariate Cox’s proportional hazards regression modelling showed remnant-like particle (RLP-C) an independent ISR. According receiver operating characteristic curve, optimal cutoff point RLP-C identified, further groups. Propensity score matching analysis performed, 762 pairs successfully matched.
