Ischemic stroke is a major contributor to global morbidity and mortality, particularly in critically ill patients intensive care units (ICUs). While advances management have improved outcomes, predicting mortality remains challenging due the involvement of complex metabolic cardiovascular factors. The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index, marker for insulin resistance, has gained attention its potential predict adverse outcomes patients. Furthermore, TyG-BMI which combines TyG with body mass index (BMI), may offer more comprehensive measure by accounting obesity-related burden. However, comparative impact these indices on short- long-term among ischemic unclear. This retrospective cohort study analyzed data from Medical Information Mart Intensive Care IV (MIMIC-IV 3.0) database, including 1,334 were divided into four groups based quartiles, respectively. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) represents a major public health issue, especially among individuals diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), where its prevalence can reach up to 70%. This research examines the relationship between Healthy Eating Index 2020 (HEI-2020) and individual components occurrence of NAFLD in T2DM patients, while also investigating potential mediating effects various metabolic indicators. Data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) spanning 2007 2018 were utilized. cross-section study included 1,770 who divided into non-NAFLD groups using Fatty Liver as diagnostic tool. The HEI-2020, which assesses diet quality, was computed based on 24-h dietary recall data. Key indicators such triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index, score (MS), mean arterial pressure, uric acid levels, total cholesterol evaluated. findings indicated that higher HEI-2020 scores associated lower likelihood (odds ratio 0.978, 95% confidence interval: 0.959-0.998), strongest inverse associations observed top quartiles quality. Whole fruits, greens beans, saturated fat crucial factors. Mediation analysis demonstrated TyG index MS accounted for 5.11 36.94% NAFLD, respectively. Greater adherence is partially this association. Enhancing particularly by increasing consumption whole fruits reducing intake, may be important managing function vulnerable population.

It has been reported that periodontitis was a risk factor for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). The aim of this study is to investigate the impact on all-cause and cause-specific mortality MASLD patients. We included 11,019 individuals with (MASLD) from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey. Multivariable Cox proportional hazards models were utilized analyze estimated hazard ratios (HRs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs) among participants different periods status. Additionally, we employed restricted cubic splines (RCS) curves explore dose-response relationship between clinical attachment level (CAL) pocket probing depth (PPD) rates. Finally, series sensitivity analyses stratification conducted test reliability robustness results. In study, moderate severe significantly increased (HR 1.29, CI 1.08-1.55; P = 0.003) cardiovascular (CVD)-related 1.41, 1.10-1.79; 0.006) participants. However, no significant effects periodontal statuses cancer observed A nationwide large-sample longitudinal indicated patients experienced higher CVD-related rates compared those or mild periodontitis.
