Hepatobiliary cancers, such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and cholangiocarcinoma (CCA), are among the deadliest malignancies worldwide, leading to a significant number of cancer-related deaths. While bone metastases from these cancers rare, they highly aggressive linked poor prognosis. This review focuses on RNA-based molecular mechanisms that contribute metastasis hepatobiliary cancers. Specifically, role two key factors, microRNAs (miRNAs) RNA-binding proteins (RBPs), which have not been extensively studied in context HCC CCA, is discussed. These molecules often exhibit abnormal expression tumors, influencing cancer cell spread by disrupting homeostasis, thereby aiding tumor migration survival microenvironment. also discusses potential therapeutic strategies targeting pathways reduce improve patient outcomes. Abstract Methods The ethanolic roots (CCRE) and leaves (CCLE) extracts were interrogated for their apoptotic potential against human lung adenocarcinoma cell line (A549) using DNA fragmentation, Annexin V-FITC/PI staining apoptosis assay cycle analysis flow cytometry. Results Our results revealed significant damage induced death in A549 on treatment with active concentrations (40 µg/ml 80 µg/ml) of the S phase arrest. Conclusions This is first study demonstrating inducing chemically characterized bioactive compounds present from Chlorophytum comosum non-small line. concludes that can be a candidate natural isolated, clinically evaluated development novel naturally derived anti-cancer drugs cancer.

Metastasis remains the leading cause of death among patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), emphasizing urgent need for safer and more effective therapeutic options. Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathways play a crucial role in regulating EMT, migration, invasion NSCLC. Targeting these molecular mechanisms has become key strategy inhibiting NSCLC metastasis. Loureirin A B, flavonoids derived from Thai traditional herb Dracaena loureiri, have shown potential pharmacological effects; however, their roles metastasis remain unexplored. This study aimed to elucidate by which B suppress cells via MAPK signaling pathway. The sulforhodamine (SRB) assay showed that at concentrations ranging 0 140 μM, were non-toxic both A549 H1299 cells. Additionally, Loureirins exhibited no cytotoxic effects on primary human dermal fibroblast did not induce hemolysis red blood (RBCs). wound-healing trans-well assays used evaluate anti-migratory anti-invasion properties lines. Gelatin zymography was employed investigate activity MMP-2 (gelatinase A) MMP-9 B), while Western blot analysis examine expression EMT markers invasive proteins, phosphorylation molecules. Our results demonstrate significantly suppressed migration These compounds matrix metalloproteinases downregulated proteins including uPA, uPAR, MT1-MMP. they effectively such as N-cadherin, Vimentin, Fibronectin. Mechanistically, inhibited pathway downregulating ERK, JNK, p38 proteins. In conclusion, findings exhibit potent anti-invasive effect lines, suggesting promising candidates anti-cancer drug development. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), originating from hepatocytes, is the most common type of primary liver cancer. HCC imposes a significant global health burden with high morbidity and mortality, making it critical public concern. Surgical interventions, including hepatectomy transplantation, are pivotal in achieving long-term survival for patients HCC. Additionally, ablation therapy, endovascular interventional radiotherapy, systemic anti-tumor therapies commonly employed. However, these treatment modalities often associated considerable challenges, postoperative recurrence rates adverse effects. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) natural products have been utilized centuries as complementary approach managing its complications, demonstrating favorable clinical outcomes. Various bioactive compounds derived TCM identified purified, their mechanisms action extensively investigated. This review aims to provide comprehensive up-to-date evaluation efficacy TCM, active constituents management Particular emphasis placed on elucidating potential molecular therapeutic targets agents, roles inhibiting cell proliferation, inducing apoptosis pyroptosis, suppressing tumor invasion metastasis, restraining angiogenesis within tissues.
