Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic inflammatory with no clinical cure. Excessive production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) at the sites leads to onset and progression IBD. And current non-invasive imaging methods are not ideal for diagnosis monitoring Herein, we developed inulin (IN)-coated cerium oxide nanoparticles (CeO2@IN NPs) treatment IBD guided by computed tomography (CT). The physicochemical properties, ROS scavenging ability CT capabilities CeO2@IN were investigated in vitro. Moreover, therapeutic targeted inflammation effects validated dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis model. catalase (CAT) superoxide dismutase (SOD) effectively scavenged ROS, thus protecting cells against oxidative stress. In model mice, orally administered successfully traversed gastrointestinal tract reach colon under protection IN, reduced intestinal inflammation, thereby maintaining epithelial integrity. Notably, performed better than conventional contrast agents imaging, particularly detecting inflamed areas colon. addition, exhibited excellent biocompatibility vitro vivo. study provided novel integrated diagnostic tool IBD, presenting great potential as application
