Utilizing a convenience random cluster sampling technique, surveyed 2500 primary secondary school students across Sichuan, Guangdong, Shandong, Henan, Jiangxi provinces. The survey utilized validated scales assess exercise, self-efficacy, suppression, among adolescents. revealed that: (1) Physical has significant negative correlation with (r = -0.32, p < 0.01); (2) Sports significantly mediated relationship between anxiety, an indirect effect -0.15 (95% CI [-0.22, -0.09]); (3) Expressive -0.11 [-0.17, -0.06]); (4) exerted -0.05 [-0.08, -0.02]). not only directly alleviates in adolescents but also indirectly diminishes through enhancement reduction suppression.

ABSTRACT Current self‐efficacy scales for physical activity focus on moderate‐to‐vigorous exercise in healthy adults, leaving limited options those engaged light‐to‐moderate activity. This study aimed to develop a Japanese version of the Exercise Self‐Efficacy Scale (ESES‐J) tailored light‐to‐moderate‐intensity activities and assess its validity reliability. Preoperative postoperative patients undergoing lower‐limb arthroplasty (113 participants) were evaluated using General (GSES) establish criterion‐related validity. The revised Short Questionnaire Assess Health‐Enhancing Physical Activity, Oxford Hip Score, or Knee accelerometers used test hypotheses. ESES‐J demonstrated strong internal consistency, good intraclass coefficient scores, no systematic errors Bland–Altman analysis. correlation with GSES was moderate, confirming 80% robust reliability Understanding among individuals disabilities may lead personalized health support improve levels.

Introduction: Mental health disorders, particularly anxiety and depression, contribute significantly to the global disease burden. Growing evidence suggests that dietary patterns play a crucial role in mental outcomes. Objectives: This cross-sectional study examines associations between adherence Mediterranean diet, processed food consumption, symptoms of depression among Israeli adults. Additionally, it investigates whether sleep quality mediates these relationships. Methods: A total 303 participants completed an online survey assessing demographic variables, health-related behaviors, patterns, duration, indicators. Results: Pearson correlations revealed significant symptoms. Higher diet was associated with lower scores, whereas greater consumption linked increased psychological distress. Hierarchical regression analyses showed predicted symptoms, even after controlling for factors. However, did not mediate relationships, suggesting independent effects on health. Conclusions: These findings highlight potential modifications as complementary approach management, though generalizability is limited by our predominantly female, Jewish sample studied during period conflict. Integrating nutritional assessments into care could enhance treatment strategies. Future research should explore longitudinal interventional approaches establish causal relationships highlights clinical public relevance assessment evaluations supports development integrated, nutrition-informed interventions well-being.

Published: May 20, 2025

Abstract Background accessibility to physical activity (PA) facility can strongly influence population health outcomes through PA engagement duration in neighborhoods. While commercial facilities tend spatially cluster, creating inequitable opportunities and disparities between neighborhoods, little is known about how public buffer against such neighborhood inequities. Regulation of openings during the COVID-19 pandemic provided a natural experimental setting examine this relationship. Methods We conducted longitudinal study behaviors among 701 residents from 23 neighborhoods Shenzhen closure reopening (2019–2020). Using difference-in-differences (DID) analysis, we examined different types influenced various duration. Through triple-difference (DDD) investigated moderated responses changes within 1,000-meter catchments. Results showed distinct functional effects, with parks increasing light (LPA) (β = 39.45, p 0.032) sports enhancing moderate-to-vigorous (MVPA) 39.07, 0.015); Commercial exhibited spatial polarization diminishing marginal returns, showing strong effects on MVPA low-accessibility areas 70.02, < 0.001) but negligible impact high-accessibility ; quantified conditional buffering effect where effectively mitigated reduction experiencing disadvantages 79.27, 0.050), being strongest commercially deprived 42.51, 0.001). Conclusions balanced distribution complementary design, inequities caused by clustering. This was particularly significant disadvantaged areas, informing urban planning policies for building resilient equitable environments.

Background: Functional training is increasingly recognized for its potential to improve physical function and quality of life (QoL) in older adults. This randomized controlled trial examined the effects a six-week functional program on function, cardiorespiratory fitness, QoL women. Methods: Fifty women (mean age: 63.5 ± 3.7 years) were randomly assigned group ( n = 25) or control 25). The intervention participated (six sessions per week), while maintained usual daily activities. Outcomes included dynamic balance (TUG test), flexibility, muscle strength, walking speed, fitness (two-minute step QoL. Results: significantly improved balance, lower body aerobic endurance p < .05 all). increased across all domains, as well overall scores .05). However, experienced declines some measures. Conclusion: safe effective improving significant enhancements mental health highlight value promoting independence well-being aging populations. Future studies should explore long-term benefits scalability.
