Background Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and chronic kidney (CKD) are both closely related to dyslipidemia. However, the relationship between dyslipidemia in patients with NAFLD CKD is not yet clear. The non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol high-density ratio (NHHR) an innovative comprehensive lipid index. purpose of this study was investigate correlation NHHR risk or without fibrosis. Methods This used data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2017 2020 for analysis, including a total 4,041 subjects diagnosed NAFLD. Among subjects, 3,315 individuals fibrosis 726 Weighted multivariate linear regression, weighted logistic restricted cubic spline (RCS) curves, subgroup analysis were evaluate Results Our findings indicate that fibrosis, highest tertile NHHR, as compared lowest tertile, inversely glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) ( β : −2.14, 95% CI: −3.97, −0.32, p < 0.05) positively (OR: 1.67, 1.12, 2.49, 0.05). Abstract To investigate the associations between dietary patterns and biological aging, identify most recommended pattern for coping with aging explore potential mediating role of gut microbiota in less-developed ethnic minority regions (LEMRs). This prospective cohort study included 8288 participants aged 30-79 years from China Multi-Ethnic Cohort (CMEC). Anthropometric measurements clinical biomarkers were utilized to construct age based on Klemera Doubal’s method (KDM-BA) KDM-BA acceleration (KDM-AA). Dietary information was obtained through baseline food frequency questionnaire (FFQ). Six constructed: plant-based diet index (PDI), healthful (hPDI), unhealthful (uPDI), healthy score (HDS), Approaches Stop Hypertension (DASH), alternative Mediterranean diets (aMED). Follow-up adjusted analysis employed assess KDM-AA. Additionally, quantile G-computation evaluate significant beneficial harmful groups. In subsample 764 data 16S rRNA gene sequencing, we used causal mediation model The results showed that all associated Transitioning non-compliance compliance, DASH exhibited strongest negative association KDM-AA [ β = -0.91, 95%CI (-1.19, -0.63)]. component analyses revealed tea soybean products groups, while salt, preserved vegetables, red processed meats identified as major analysis, decreased abundance Synergistetes phylum Pyramidobacter genus possibly mediated (5.61%-9.19%). Overall, patterns, especially DASH, are negatively LEMRs. may mediate aging. Developing appropriate strategies promote

Purpose Limited investigation is available on the correlation between environmental phenols’ exposure and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR). Our target established a robust explainable machine learning (ML) model that associates with eGFR. Methods datasets for constructing associations eGFR were collected from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES, 2013–2016). Five ML models contained fine-tuned to regression by exposure. Regression evaluation metrics used extract limitation of models. The most effective was then utilized regression, interpretation its features carried out using shapley additive explanations (SHAP) game theory python package represent model’s capacity. Results study identified top-performing random forest (RF) regressor mean absolute error 0.621 coefficient determination 0.998 among 3,371 participants. Six phenols in linear revealed concentrations triclosan (TCS) bisphenol S (BPS) urine positively correlated eGFR, coefficients β = 0.010 ( p 0.026) 0.007 0.004) respectively. SHAP values indicate BPS (1.38), F (BPF) (0.97), 2,5-dichlorophenol (0.87), TCS (0.78), BP3 (0.60), A (BPA) (0.59) 2,4-dichlorophenol (0.47) urinary contributed model. Objective This investigation aims to elucidate the correlations between dietary intakes of vitamin E, B6, and niacin incidence cataracts, utilizing comprehensive NHANES 2005–2008 dataset affirm prophylactic roles these nutrients against cataract formation. Methods Using data from cycles, this analysis concentrated on 7,247 subjects after exclusion based incomplete or data. The identification cataracts was determined through participants’ self-reported ophthalmic surgical history. Nutritional intake gauged using automated multiple pass method, were analyzed logistic quantile regression analyses investigate relationship consumption prevalence. Results Our identified significant inverse associations vitamins risk development. Specifically, higher B6 (OR = 0.85, 95% CI 0.76–0.96, p 0.0073) 0.98, 0.97–1.00, 0.0067) in top quartile significantly associated with a reduced likelihood occurrence. Vitamin E showed consistent reduction across different levels 0.96, 0.94–0.99, 0.0087), demonstrating nonlinear correlation. Conclusion outcomes indicate that elevated niacin, conjunction regular intake, may have potential delay prevent genesis. These results suggest novel nutritional strategy for prevention management, advocating focused nutrient supplementation could be instrumental preserving eye health reducing cataracts. Further research is recommended validate findings establish optimal dosages maximum benefit.
