Adherence to medication in the elderly with hypertension is often a challenge, which can increase risk of complications. The purpose this study evaluate effect health education through video on adherence at Puskesmas I East Denpasar. This uses quantitative research design pre-experimental approach. subjects were 53 people hypertension. Data collection was carried out before and after intervention using educational videos, instruments form compliance questionnaires. analysis Wilcoxon statistical test. Before education, majority respondents showed low (52.8%). After intervention, high rate increased significantly 67.9%, while decreased 13.2%. results test p-value = 0.000, indicating significant influence adherence. Health videos effective increasing implications encourage application similar methods improve therapy various settings.

Abstract Background In individuals diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS), variations in craniofacial structure have been inconsistently documented, showing differing degrees of alteration between obese and nonobese patients. addition, disturbance has also shown to induce disequilibrium this population This pilot observational study aimed assess values subpopulations patients OSAS their correlation association the severity OSAS. We assessed whether are characterized by an impaired equilibrium relation associated Methods included all consecutive adult Through cephalometry, we upper (UPa-UPp) lower (LPa-LPp) pharynx diameters, superior anterior facial height (Sor-ANS), (ANS-Me), vertical dimension (Sor-Me), posterior (S-Go) craniovertebral angle (CVA). Furthermore, analyzed postural through a stabilometric examination. Results Forty (45% female mean age 56 ± 8.2 years) were included. The subgroup had reduced UPa-UPp (p = 0.02). Cephalometric measurements correlated patients, whereas only Sor-ANS was subpopulation. overall population, altered severe Although there differences not or severity. Conclusion Altered compromised linked Therefore, management should be tailored weight but rehabilitation enhance patient outcomes.

Macrophages are the basic mediators and coordinators of various types chronic inflammation play a crucial role in formation development atherosclerosis (AS). In complex microenvironment atherosclerotic plaques, macrophages different sources exposed to signal stimuli thus polarized into subpopulations. Various with predominantly M1 M2 phenotypes also regulatory roles initiation progression AS. Lipid-lowering drugs, mainly statins, widely used clinical practice, but adverse reactions obvious there is lack personalized treatment. Emerging targeted macrophage Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)-related therapies can regulate cellular microenvironment, inhibit polarization macrophages, promote activation providing new ideas for prevention treatment

INTRODUCTION The relationship between smoking and heart disease has been frequently reported. Therefore, we aimed to explore the association initiation atrial fibrillation.METHODS Genetic data pertaining fibrillation were obtained from genome-wide studies (GWAS).Phenotypically related single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) selected as instrumental variables.Inverse-variance weighted (IVW), median, Mendelian randomization (MR), Egger regression, simple mode, mode methods employed perform MR study. The was evaluated using odds ratios (OR) 95% confidence intervals (CI).Cochran's Q test assess heterogeneity among variables, utilizing IVW MR-Egger methods. The Egger-intercept method for horizontal pleiotropy, 'leave-one-out' utilized sensitivity analysis.RESULTS results effect of on (IVW, OR=1.11; CI: 1.02-1.20,p=0.013) supported an increased likelihood fibrillation. In total, 85 SNPs extracted GWAS pooled variables. The indicated intercept close 0 (Egger intercept= -0.005, p=0.371), suggesting no pleiotropy in analysis demonstrated that robust variables significantly influenced results.Reverse OR=1.00; 0.99-1.02,p=0.684).CONCLUSIONS Smoking a significant impact fibrillation. However, did not influence initiation. This study provides novel insights into genetic relationships fibrillation.
