Abstract
Microglia
are
the
main
non-neuronal
cells
in
central
nervous
system
that
have
important
roles
brain
development
and
functional
connectivity
of
neural
circuits.
In
physiology,
highly
dynamic
microglial
processes
facilitated
to
sense
surrounding
environment
stimuli.
Once
switches
its
states,
microglia
recruited
specific
sites
exert
their
immune
functions,
including
release
cytokines
phagocytosis
cellular
debris.
The
crosstalk
between
neurons,
stem
cells,
endothelial
oligodendrocytes,
astrocytes
contributes
functions
synapse
pruning,
neurogenesis,
vascularization,
myelination,
blood-brain
barrier
permeability.
this
review,
we
highlight
neuron-derived
“find-me,”
“eat-me,”
“don’t
eat-me”
molecular
signals
drive
response
changes
neuronal
activity
for
refinement
during
development.
This
review
reveals
mechanism
neuron-microglia
interaction
synaptic
pruning
presents
novel
ideas
disease,
thereby
providing
clues
discovery
target
drugs
disease
treatment
methods
targeting
dysfunction.

Microglia,
the
primary
immune
cells

brain,
play
multifaceted
roles
Alzheimer's
disease
(AD).
Microglia
can
potentially
mitigate
pathological
progression
of
AD
by
clearing
amyloid
beta
(Aβ)
deposits
