The COVID-19 pandemic has had a multifaceted impact on people's daily lives and adversely affected the population's mental health in several aspects. Therefore, objective of this study is to analyze prevalence major depressive disorder adults, aiming summarize current literature provide broader understanding topic pre- post-pandemic scenarios. For purpose, review was conducted between October 2023 February 2024, based articles published databases. PRISMA method PECO strategy were employed alongside GRADE methodology evidence. found that while disorders varied geographically, there significant global increase due pandemic. After worldwide peak diagnoses, incidence rates tend stabilize; however, it important note some sequelae may persist more vulnerable individuals or those who have contracted COVID-19. In summary, adverse effects following evident, with system responses influencing how countries addressed increase, underscoring importance prioritizing as public issue.

Ojective: Covid-19 pandemic has exerted deleterious effects on several aspect of mental health worldwide. The detrimental medical complications, the increased prevalence morbidity and rapid international spread have resulted in urgent public concerns political measures across world. A narrative longitudinal study of experiences and lessons learnt by an English academic research group during the COVID-19 pandemic. Members acted as both participants researchers. Each member wrote their own accounts personal pandemic at two timepoints.
