Medication-related
osteonecrosis
of
the
jaw
(MRONJ)
is
a
multifactorial
condition
defined
as
an
adverse
drug
reaction
that
results
in
progressive
jawbone
destruction
and
necrosis
individuals
treated
with
certain
medications,
occurring
without
history
prior
radiotherapy.
These
drugs
are
mainly
bisphosphonates,
denosumab,
other
bone-modifying
agents,
anti-angiogenic
agents
such
anti-endothelial
growth
factor,
tyrosine
kinase
inhibitors,
proteins
classified
mammalian
targets
rapamycin.
The
diagnosis
MRONJ
based
on
clinical
(exposed
jawbone,
fistula
pus,
hyperplasia
mucosa
overlying
necrotic
bone
tissue)
radiological
evaluation.
We
report
four
cases
evidence
unrelated
to
use
antiresorptive
or
agents.
In
two
instances,
histological
microbiological

Background/Objectives:
Osteoporosis

disease
