Phytophthora cinnamomi causes significant root rot in hickory, leading to substantial yield losses. While Bacillus spp. are recognized as beneficial rhizosphere microorganisms, their application against hickory and impact on microbial communities remain under-investigated. This study demonstrated that velezensis TCS001 significantly inhibited P. ST402 growth vitro, achieved 71% efficacy disease management. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed fermentation filtrate induced mycelial deformities cinnamomi. An analysis of α β diversity indicated a bacterial community richness diversity, with minimal effects the fungal community. Moreover, altered microbiome co-occurrence network. The differential abundance suggests promotes recruitment microbes associated resistance, thereby suppressing development. These findings underscore influence presence pathogens, providing valuable data for future research development effective biocontrol strategies rot.

Peanut stem rot caused by Sclerotium rolfsii is becoming increasingly severe. Although butylidenephthalide exhibits great antifungal activity against S. rolfsii, its appropriate application strategy unclear. Greenhouse experiments suggested that was suitable to be preventatively applied root drenching at 400 mg/L for three times with an interval of 7 days. In field trials, exhibited efficacy 51.75% after 21 days and increased the peanut yields 9.89%. Butylidenephthalide rapidly dissipated in soil plants (t1/2 = 2.28-3.41 d), no residues detected edible kernels or haulms harvest. showed a strong uptake accumulation ability from (root concentration factor/bioconcentration factor > 1) moderate upward conductivity roots above-ground parts (TFstem+leaf 0.95). low earthworm toxicity stimulated bacterial/actinomycete populations while suppressing fungi soil. Overall, favorable efficacy, residue risks, high safety on ecosystem control rot.

Strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) is the most widely cultivated small berries in world. They are not only delicious, juicy, and nutritious, but also have important economic value. However, current research on endophytic bacteria related to strawberry limited. This work provides a comprehensive description of composition diversity bacterial communities three niches (root, stem, leaf) cultivars (White Elves, Tokun, Akihime). study indicated that differ significantly between belowground niche (roots) aboveground compartments (stems leaves). The richness varied for all cultivars; it decreased from root stem leaf. alpha Akihime community were lower than White Elves stems leaves. Beneficial genera, such as Ochrobacter, Bradyrhizobium, Sphingomonas, Pseudolobrys, more abundant Tokun Akihime, especially roots stems. results this provide an reference discovering new species or genetic variations improve host fitness stress tolerance. Paper mulberry ( Broussonetia papyrifera ) is a high-quality silage protein feed material that can help address shortages and support livestock development. Although some studies have investigated the relationships between microbial communities quality, these underlying community assembly processes remain complex, requiring further research to clarify them. Additionally, limited has explored relationship fermentation functions quality. In this study, we aimed explore B. wheat bran mixed quality driven by characteristics of community. After 50 days fermentation, low-quality samples were selected from every mixing ratio (90:10, 80:20, 65:35).
