Pregnancy represents a crucial timepoint to screen for disordered eating due the significant adverse impact on woman and her infant. There has been an increased interest in pregnancy since COVID-19 pandemic, which disproportionately affected mental health of pregnant women compared general population. This systematic review is update previous aiming explore current psychometric evidence any new pregnancy-specific instruments other measures developed non-pregnant populations. Systematic searches were conducted PubMed, ProQuest, PsycInfo, CINAHL, Scopus, MEDLINE, Embase from April 2019 February 2024. A total 20 citations met criteria inclusion, with most studies reasonable quality. Fourteen identified, including two screening instruments. Overall, preliminary PEBS, DEAPS, EDE-PV was promising. ongoing need validation different samples, study designs, settings, administration methods are required. Similar original this topic, we did not find support gold standard recommendation.

Recent findings There are 22 recent epidemiological studies on five different countries world. A large-scale national mental health survey reported 12-month disorder prevalence 3.2% lifetime 6.1%. Binge-eating most common (12-month = 2.1%, 2.6%), 1.6% at high risk for binge-eating disorder. Overall, between 23.8 34.8% any Body-shape dissatisfaction, BMI separated/widowed/single marital status were pathology. Summary Although there still lack compared to western world, number growing increase using appropriate assessment-tools norms. It recommended offer specialized treatment implement preventive programs.
