During the pandemic outbreak teaching and learning process has changed into an online mode thus evaluation became a requirement. Therefore, current paper attempts to investigate effects of assessment on students’ behavior teachers' views. It also includes results questionnaire from 60 students followed by interview with 07 EFL teachers Department English in University. The indicated that have positive attitudes towards administration assessment. Furthermore, interviews showed there are four factors for valuable which showing flexibility assessment, enhancing adaptability, increasing students' awareness importance enlightening autonomous abilities. Incorporating ChatGPT for EFL Writing and Its Effects on Writing Engagement DOI Creative Commons

Affective, behavioral, and cognitive engagements play crucial roles in how learners interact with process written feedback on their language production. The present study examines the efficacy of peer versus ChatGPT-generated an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) writing context. Participants (n = 169) were 1st-year undergraduate students at teacher education university China, enrolled mandatory class. control group 86) did not use ChatGPT, while treatment 83) engaged leveraging carefully designed prompts to receive writing. A survey instrument measuring affective, engagement was administered both start conclusion semester. Results revealed that ChatGPT has potential enhance specific aspects student engagement, like affective behavioral EFL Cognitive although slightly higher group, differ significantly between groups. findings suggest AI-generated can be integrated into instruction, its impact particularly warrants careful consideration. We finally provided pedagogical implications based findings.

Developing critical thinking is an urgent task for modern education, especially in teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) to students of non-linguistic specialities who need high level analytical and communication skills successful professional activity. The lack integration innovative methods into traditional programmes creates gaps the training specialists. study aims identify effective developing while learning language. research methodology based on experimental approach, which includes dividing control groups, testing before after course, administering questionnaires statistical analyses data obtained. results showed that active methods, such debates, case analysis, project-based learning, self-assessment, significantly improve students' competence. In speaking category, performance increased from 48% 85%, writing category – 64% 83%, confirms effectiveness interactive tasks. most significant progress was observed ability formulate arguments analyse texts. study's practical significance lies possibility adapting developed educational specialities, contributes improving quality education demand labour market. further individualisation use technology personalised development has also been identified.
