This study explored the effect of coach–athlete relationship perceived by college athletes on athletic behaviour, examining mediating psychological needs. was conducted with 254 using questionnaires, and research instruments included Coach–Athlete Relationship Scale, Psychological Needs Athletic Behaviour Scale. The results were as follows: (1) student-athletes had a direct positive significant behaviours (β = 0.268, p < 0.001, 0.0344); (2) needs between (indirect 0.2433), percentage 41.56%. overall mediation value 0.5854. findings emphasized that, improving relationship, it could help to improve and, thus, promote their motor behaviours. In closeness promotion behaviour particularly significant, in which special attention emphasis should be given coaches practical implementation. Subsequently, focus training enhancing crucial part order perform well competitions.
