Abstract X‐ray excited persistent luminescence (XEPL) of lanthanide‐doped fluoride nanoparticles (NPs) holds promise for applications in back‐ground free bio‐medicine and flexible 3D imaging. However, it remains a daunting challenge to develop universal convenient route greatly improve the XEPL performance most nanosystems. Herein, first time, versatile acid pickling strategy is proposed enhance intensity NPs with different chemical compositions activator types. Especially, after treatment diluted HCl, NaYF 4 : Tb mean particle size ≈ 7 nm enhanced ≈17.4 times. Mechanistic studies indicate trap density upon irradiation HCl treatment, contributing intensity. By integrating HCl‐treated into scintillation film, image resolution significantly increased from 6.3 11 lp mm −1 , quality delayed images improved, particularly at low‐dose rates. These findings are expected advance development high‐performance X‐ray‐activated their high‐resolution

Abstract Lanthanide‐doped fluoride nanoscintillators (NSs) have emerged as promising candidates for X‐ray imaging. However, strong afterglow, long lifetime, and poor irradiation stability pose key challenges real‐time dynamic In this study, the sub‐10 nm Lu 6 O 5 F 8 :Tb NSs with tunable morphologies are prepared via incorporating Li + /Na ions. The excited optical luminescence (XEOL) intensity of Lu6O5F8:15Tb/10Li is stronger than that NaLuF 4 :15 Tb a similar particle size while its afterglow only ≈2.7% compared to NSs. Utilizing Tb/10Li NSs‐integrated film scintillator screen, high resolution ≈21.6 lp/mm achieved. Even at low dose 0.23 µGy, fringe detail in electron device clearly observed image. :10Eu/10Li decays 0.7% 40 µs, which better CsI:Tl (3.6%@40 µs). Moreover, lifetime 1.65 µs verified use 3D These findings represent significant advancement development new high‐performance
