to systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of Intermittent Fasting (IF) in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM). randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on IF intervention T2DM were searched from PubMed, The Cochrane Library, Web Science, MEDLINE CNKI, retrieval time was set database onset September 2024. A meta-analysis performed using RevMan 5.3 software. sixteen articles included, a total 5369 patients. showed that, compared control group, could improve patients' glycated hemoglobin, fasting plasma glucose, body weight, BMI, waist circumference, systolic blood pressure, diastolic low density lipoprotein, cholesterol levels (p < 0.05). However, there no significant difference improving postprandial high-density triglyceride group > may help people manage their sugar effectively. In addition, can reduce maintain stable low-density lipoprotein levels, is considered safe feasible implement. more high-quality studies are needed provide further evidence benefits other lipid levels.
