Shaping Sustainable Cities: A Long-Term GIS-Emanated Spatial Analysis of Settlement Growth and Planning in a Coastal Mediterranean European City

European cities have experienced rapid (and often conflicting) transformations that include, inter alia, the environment, economy, society, climate change, and access to affordable housing, with implications for their future development. Toward Sustainable Development Trajectories? Estimating Urban Footprints from High-Resolution Copernicus Layers in Athens, Greece
