Background Although Spain has traditionally followed the Mediterranean diet, in recent years, changes have become noticeable food preferences of population. These include adopting new diets and dietary trends, such as plant-based diets, intermittent fasting raw diets. choices are influenced by cultural, social socio-demographic factors, their impact on health should be studied detail. Aim The objectives this research are: (1) to study prevalence different patterns among Spanish population, (2) explore dependence choice (3) investigate relationship between habits lifestyle population how it affects health. Methods A descriptive cross-sectional was carried out Using a questionnaire constructed validated team, data were collected nutritional, targeted explored. Results valid sample 22,181 people which 17,573 (79.2%) claimed follow pattern, 1,425 (6.4%) 365 (1.6%) vegans, 1,018 (4.6%) practiced fasting, 252 (1.1%) diet 1,548 (7%) other types show that younger (18–25 years old) tend adopt more often than older women type men. On hand, men seem practice frequently. higher tendency found living villages those cities. Moreover, some trends regions Spain, with greater adherence Catalonia, while is common Region Murcia. Finally, results indicate individuals who pay attention experiment various generally health-conscious. This reflected adoption healthier behaviors, exercising reducing intake alcohol sugary drinks.

Obesity is one of the world’s major public health challenges. Its pathogenesis and comorbid metabolic disorders share common mechanisms, such as mitochondrial or endoplasmic reticulum dysfunction oxidative stress, gut dysbiosis, chronic inflammation altered autophagy. Numerous pro-autophagy dietary interventions are being investigated for their potential obesity-preventing therapeutic effects. We summarize current data on relationship between autophagy obesity, discuss various regulators autophagy-related genes in prevention ultimate treatment obesity humans, available scientific databases published through July 2024. Lifestyle modifications (such calorie restriction, intermittent fasting, physical exercise), including following a diet rich flavonoids, antioxidants, specific fatty acids, amino acids others, have shown beneficial role induction this process. Abstract Aim To assess the impact of intermittent fasting, with or without probiotic supplementation, versus a calorie‐restricted diet on anthropometric measures, metabolic status and gonadal variables in women polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Methods This is randomized, placebo‐controlled, parallel‐arm clinical trial. The effects 14:10 early time‐restricted eating (eTRE) strategy alone combined probiotics, obese PCOS, were investigated. Participants divided into three groups: eTRE plus probiotics ( n = 30), placebo 30) control group following standard three‐meal‐per‐day daily calorie restriction (DCR) 30). Over 8 weeks, various anthropometric, metabolic, menstrual assessed. Results A total 90 individuals included study, mean body weight 81.4 kg, age 30 years. Mean (standard deviation) loss was not different between groups at week (TRE + probiotic: −2.2 [1.6] kg vs. TRE placebo: −2.9 [2.7] DCR: −2.5 [1.7] kg). revealed that, while all regimes led to reductions weight, mass index, vascular risk indicators, hirsutism acne scores, there no statistically significant differences terms loss, improvements P > .05). Additionally, combining did benefit hormonal cardiometabolic factors Conclusions result significantly greater compared three‐meal DCR diet.
