Entrepreneurship has entered a new era shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), demanding accelerated scholarly advances to keep pace with this transformative technology—yet demands that academics bridge the gap between AI revolution’s ambiguities and meaningful contributions. To motivate guide future research on AI’s role in entrepreneurship, we introduce an ongoing special issue Theory Practice ( ETP) outline multiple compelling opportunities for research. Unlike typical editorials, offer prospective vision—rather than retrospective, after articles have been accepted published—at project’s outset, empower field prospect establish foundations relatively uncharted world of domain entrepreneurship. Accordingly, highlight “AI PEN” (Prospecting Establishing Nexus) as desirable approach advance literature going forward. We hope, anticipate, our invitation submit proposals facilitates novel empirical well theory-focused contributions literature.

Abstract Research Summary Strategic decisions are uncertain and often irreversible. Hence, predicting the value of alternatives is important for strategic decision making. Managing with artificial intelligence (AI) refers to humans' interaction algorithms performing managerial tasks in organizations. Two literatures exploring this interaction—human-AI collaboration (HAIC) and algorithmic management (AM)—have focused on distinct tasks: while HAIC examines executive decision-making, AM focuses control. This article presents a review of both identify opportunities for integration advancement. We observe that HAIC's AM's micro-level emphases different have resulted diverging conceptualizations context, agency, interaction, outcome. Adopting more encompassing systems lens, we unveil previously concealed linkages between AM, suggesting the two analyzed sides same phenomenon: explores how humans use AI manage, describes are managed by AI. develop an integrative framework elevates viewpoint from organizational individual collective local systemic multilevel outcomes. Virtual geographic scenes can significantly facilitate the visualization and comprehension of real world. However, multitude object types complex relationships they contain make it challenging to display embedded knowledge. Knowledge graphs help organize entities their within scenes, which makes easier store express Current methods for constructing knowledge virtual suffer from issues such as weak automation, low dimensionality, poor cognitive efficiency. Thus, this paper presents a method automatically by integrating intelligent systems. The involves designing multiagent system extract hidden in scenes. In addition, three-dimensional approach is proposed constrained spatiotemporal relationships. A scene containing 2,183 objects was selected experimental area displaying graph. results demonstrate that constructs graph with 12,958 300 s common network hardware settings. offers better completeness at small scales compared other graphs, also enhance efficiency understanding

At the heart of scientific discovery are expert researchers who identify research ideas worthy inquiry. While generative artificial intelligence (AI) technologies—large language models, in particular—have been found to outperform humans some tasks, their impact on assisting with generation ideas, one most fundamental tasks science, remains underexplored. We investigate how use AI affects researcher perceptions proposals and attitudes toward integrating into process. In a randomized online experiment 310 scientists across disciplines, we study affect researchers' self-evaluation proposals, agenda, attitudes. do not find any average effect assessment proposals' novelty or feasibility. However, experience is an important moderator: negatively moderates perceived proposal, own agendas. Further analyses suggest that less experienced tended express acceptance AI, arising primarily from views new lines thinking were triggered, but also validation existing ideas. More aversion, due discounting outside as well asl hesitation towards technology, challenge one's identity. Our findings contribute innovation literature by offering initial insights AI's role idea process, growing complementing human tasks.
