As
using
generative
artificial
intelligence
(GenAI)
becomes
more
common
in
creative
work,
the
disclosure
of
GenAI
involvement
to
recipients
created
artifacts
is
often
advocated
address
social,
legal,
and
ethical
concerns.
However,
there
emerging
evidence
that
disclosing
work
adversely
affects
recipients'
perceptions
artifacts.
This
study
explores
whether
these
changing
actually
result
from
two
distinct
effects:
beliefs
about
creativity
quality
artifact
(first-order
effects),
actual
changes
human-GenAI
collaboration
workers
production
process
(second-order
effects).
We
disentangle
effects
through
a
two-stage
mixed-method
study.
