Outdoor time is positively associated with improved physical and mental health in adults. Little known about the specific effects of outdoor on outcomes for parents educators preschool-aged children. Early childhood a critical window growth development, as parental educator stress negatively impacts young children; thus, it paramount importance to systematically support during these developmental years. The objectives this research were use cross-sectional natural experiment (1) evaluate association between caregivers who engage (2) income (3) identify benefits barriers importance, availability, accessibility community resources time. Participants recruited from three stakeholder groups: preschool educators, children attending an preschool, local community. completed needs assessment (n = 46) assess demographics, outcomes, benefits, barriers, Caregivers higher group (≥USD 70,000) 41% (95% CI: 12%, 70%) more likely report very good or excellent self-reported health. Mean anxiety, depression, perceived lower higher-income group. had body mass index (−5.5 kg/m2; 95% −11.6, 0.7), appeared be protective general independent income. Thus, may factor enhance biological resilience especially those facing financial adversity.

Purpose This study examined how the potential health benefits of movement behaviors – physical activity (PA), sedentary time, and sleep vary by neighborhood perceptions among Latinos. Design Cross-sectional analysis baseline data from churchgoing Latino adults participating in an ongoing randomized controlled trial to promote PA. Setting East Los Angeles, California, surrounding neighborhoods. Sample 728 Latinos (77% female, mean age 52 years). Measures Movement included self-reported leisure-time PA duration, accelerometer-based time. Survey assessed perceived crime safety, traffic aesthetics, social cohesion. Outcomes stress, depressive symptoms, diabetes, hypertension; objectively-measured body mass index. Analysis Linear or logistic regression associations with measures, their interactions, relation outcomes. Results Sleep was associated lower stress [B(SE) = −0.41 (0.09), P < .0001] major depression [OR, 95% CI 0.54, 0.42-0.69]. Leisure-time MVPA obesity 0.60, 0.41-0.88] time higher diabetes 1.03, 1.00-1.05]. Perceived safety crime, cohesion, aesthetics had significant interactions ( 0.05) four Conclusion Interaction models suggest interventions targeting cohesion may be key for maximizing

Emotion-related impulsivity (ERI) is a significant predisposing factor for various mental health issues and influenced by individuals' immediate environment. Previous research has largely focused on mitigating ERI through individual-level interventions without extensively considering the role of external This study explores impact passive blue space exposure (PBSE) ERI, both subjective objective measures PBSE investigating mediating perceived crowdedness. Two studies were conducted using online platforms to collect data from Chinese residents. Study 1 (n = 369) examined predictive effect PBSE, as assessed normalized difference water index (NDWI), ERI. 2 374) crowdedness Descriptive statistics, correlational analyses, path analyses employed evaluate relationships between crowdedness, demonstrated negative correlation with marginal significance in analysis after controlling covariates. revealed that was significantly negatively associated mediated this relationship. Sleep is essential for overall health. Greenspace may contribute to sleep health through, instance, improving mood, reducing disruptors (e.g., poor air quality), and promoting physical activity. Although greenspace likely differs across populations, few studies have included diverse populations. To investigate greenspace-sleep associations, by age, race ethnicity, socioeconomic status, we used data collected at enrollment (2003-2009) from women in the Sister Study (n=1,612 Hispanic/Latina, n=4,421 non-Hispanic (NH)-Black, n=41,657 NH-White). Participants' geocoded home addresses were linked NASA's Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (250m resolution) capture tertiles (further categorized as low/moderate vs. high). Participants reported seven dimensions, which assessed individually, along with a multidimensional measure (categories: favorable, moderate, poor). Adjusting individual- environmental/neighborhood-level characteristics, Poisson regression robust variance estimate prevalence ratios 95% confidence intervals (PR[CI]). We tested interaction estimated age-, ethnicity-, educational attainment category-specific associations. Among participants (mean±SD age=55.7±9.0 years), those high had lower of favorable (58% 66%). After adjustment, was associated 32% higher moderate (PR=1.32 [1.27-1.38]) 12% (PR=1.12 [1.07-1.16]) Magnitudes associations among NH-White minoritized racial-ethnic groups attainment. Higher sleep, stronger more social advantages.

The beneficial effects of greenspace on mental health supports the exploration in prevention and treatment substance use disorder (SUD) among adolescents young adults. This scoping review aimed to summarize associations between SUD adults, describe how is being measured operationalized, identify differential subpopulations geographic contexts. Following PRISMA recommendations, 15 articles were screened into data was extracted from each article. Adolescents adults who experienced guided activities nature reported less use, while passive engagement associated with increased use.
