Experiments were conducted to study the burning characteristics and smoke emission from mixed fuel crib assemblies designed represent main components in structures. Cribs consisting of wood, drywall, plastics assembled into cubic structures, all with same mass fraction for each material. Three packing densities two sizes studied. While a burned completion, was collected fire calorimetry system heat release rate (HRR), combustion gases, measurements. The scale cribs affected burn duration total release, but density had greater effect on modified efficiency, peak HRR, factors CO2, CO, formaldehyde, acrolein, SO2, hydrocarbons. variability studied here can affect structure estimates by 20% CO2 up 130% SO2 formaldehyde. Therefore, must be considered properly evaluate structural fires.
