Background: The integration of technology in physical education (PE) has gained increasing attention for its potential to enhance student engagement and motivation. Fitness tracker applications, available on smartphones wearables, offer innovative solutions real-time feedback, activity monitoring, motivational support. Research Objective: This study evaluates eleventh-grade students' perceptions the effectiveness fitness apps enhancing motivation PE. Methods: was conducted with 60 students (30 males 30 females) at Vocational High School 3 Tegal, Central Java, Indonesia. A mixed-methods approach employed, combining quantitative data from structured questionnaires trackers qualitative insights semi-structured interviews direct observations. Quantitative were analysed using descriptive statistics paired t-tests, while thematic analysis applied data. Finding/Results: results indicated significant improvements engagement, motivation, awareness fitness, increased frequency app usage higher exercise (p < 0.05). Qualitative revealed that appreciated feedback features apps, which enhanced their overall enjoyment commitment activities. However, technical challenges such as synchronisation issues difficulties initial setup consistently reported by participants. Conclusion: applications hold relatively small sample size (60 students) may limit generalisability findings. Future research should address this limitation incorporating larger samples exploring challenges.
